Netflix Catch Up…

Netflix has been my saviour over the last month I have to say! While I was holed up in the Coombe for 5 days in the pre-labour ward with nothing but time on my hands and the occasional bouts of pure insanity, Netflix kept me going. I’d gotten my husband to download some bits for me and I would have been completely lost without it. I watched the entire 4th season of Grace & Frankie in there. It was brilliant! As always it’s not long enough and I already can’t wait for Season 5…. If there is one… has it been renewed for a Season 5?? I hope so! I […]

Christmas On Netflix…

Who doesn’t love snuggling up in their pyjamas with lots of goodies watching family movies over the Christmas break!  We do!  Here’s some festive movies we’ve been watching or will be watching this Christmas on Netflix.  Arthur Christmas  When one little girls’ present gets missed on Christmas Eve, Santa’s son, Arthur, sets out on a mission with his Grandfather to get the present to her and save the day with only 2 hours to spare before morning. A lovely, fun, heartwarming movie.  Miracle On 34th Street  What’s not to love? The late Richard Attenborough is the ACTUAL Santa as far as I’m concerned, and little Susan with her cute little […]

Netflix: Call The MidWife – Obsessed!…

First of all, we’re STILL watching House Of Cards! I don’t think I’ve ever watched a series for so long! We’re almost finished Season 4. I said before how I lost interest for a while with Season 3 but this Season has been brilliant!  It’s one we watch together rather than me prizing my eyes open at 1am on my phone in bed binge watching, so we tend to watch an episode a night. We’ll get there!  I discovered Call The Midwife a while ago.  Love. It.!  I binge watched the crap out of it. Couldn’t get enough.  If you haven’t seen it, it’s about life in a poor east […]

Netflix: Bloodline Finale – What Did You Think?

Well, did you watch it?   Season 1 had me hooked. It was sooooooooo good. I was gripped. The fact that you spend a good portion of the show not knowing exactly what the hell had happened and waiting to find out was a huge part of it.  It dipped a little at the beginning of Season 2 and then came back very quickly. I knew well we’d be left with a cliff hanger and it didn’t disappoint. I was dying to know how it would all pan out.  So Season 3..  What did we all think?  I thought it was slow to get going, and then it picked up […]

Orange Is The New Black – My Netflix Binge Watch…

I. Am. Obsessed.  It’s one of those shows that’s been around for a while and pretty much everyone (except me) had already started watching it.  I’d stuck it on for about 10 minutes months ago and for whatever reason it didn’t really keep my attention and I gave up fairly quickly.  I’ve been waiting on Bloodline to return. I’m delighted now that I still have that to look forward to (saddo), but in the meantime I needed something else to watch and thought I’d give OITNB another try.  Well, I think I put on my facebook page about 3 weeks ago that I was starting it, and I’ve just started […]

Netflix Catch Up – Everything From Grace & Frankie To The Smurfs…

I love Rom Coms. Can’t beat them. Especially when the Hubby goes out and the kids are in bed and I have the remote to myself. I’ll pour a glass of wine, make some popcorn and slap on a Rom Com.  This  month I enjoyed ‘And So It Goes’ starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. Michael Douglas plays a fairly obnoxious self absorbed realtor who looks to his neighbour, Diane Keaton, for help when his estranged son leaves him in charge of his granddaughter that he never knew existed. It’s your typical rom com and you can guess how it all ends! I enjoyed it though. I love Diane Keaton.  […]

The People v. OJ Simpson – Netflix

In the space of about 3 days I’ve absolutely binge watched The People v. O.J. Simpson on Netflix.  I’d seen the trailer on the Netflix twitter page and thought it looked good.  An ‘American crime story’ would never have been my thing before. If I just came across this on “normal tv” I honestly probably wouldn’t watch it. That’s what I love about Netflix. It opens me up to shows I usually wouldn’t watch.  In my last Netflix post I said the same thing about Bloodline. Wouldn’t normally have gone for it but it’s bloody brilliant! Roll on Season 3 (and more drooling over Kyle Chandler!)  Anyway, presumably everyone and anyone […]

Bloodline – My Latest Netflix Obsession…

I’ve been looking for a new series to watch on Netflix after my Gilmore Girls binge before Christmas, and I’ve found it with Bloodline. I won’t lie. House of Cards lost my interest slightly. Season 3 just wasn’t doing it for me. I still want to get back into it, and I will. I’ve heard great things about Season 4, but I just felt like taking a break from it for a while, especially over Christmas (It’s not very festive is it!) So we spent December mainly having a laugh  watching The Royle Family! It was actually my Mam who recommended Bloodline! She was explaining what it was about […]
