3 Reasons Why I Love The Internet This Weekend…

Life is hectic and serious and often very weird, but sometimes the Internet brings us all the lol’s and cheers us up. These 3 videos are making me smile over and over this weekend. No. 3. This Beyoncé / Thomas The Tank Engine remix. Apparently created in 2015 but doing the rounds at the moment. It’s sort of hypnotic!  No. 2  Ed Sheeran. B*Witched. It shouldn’t work. BUT IT DOES. I actually genuinely love this!  But right up there at No. 1. Take a bow family. Take a bow. You made my weekend.  http://www.independent.ie/videos/watch-bbc-live-interview-interrupted-by-adorable-kids-35519089.html         (Credits: Independent.ie / Facebook BBC Radio 1 / Youtube The Azariah)

Builders, Steroids & Mice, Oh My…

My blog has been a bit quiet for the last week or so. We’ve had builders and plumbers and tilers, and I’ve been on steroids and antibiotics and breathing like an 80 year old who smokes 50 cigarettes a day, and then all the kids, and there was also a mouse in the house at one point bolting around the half done En Suite… I’ve needed ALLLLL the coffee..  BUT..  I’m finished the steroids and antibiotics now, the builders and plumbers and tilers are finished, I can breathe normally again, the mouse is gone… there’s still all the kids but how and ever!.. I’m feeling more energetic than I’ve felt […]

Raving About Holos Skincare…

I’ll start by saying that this is NOT a sponsored post. No-one asked me to write it. It’s just that I’ve been banging on about it to my Husband since I got them and he’s over it, and if I say “Look! Just FEEL my skin it’s so SOFT!” one more time he might actually kill me.  I’ve been fairly poor with my skincare routine, and when you’re in your 30’s your skin starts to punish you if you don’t look after it. So I got into a habit of using a face wash instead of wipes and using a day and night cream properly every day.  But I was […]

A Look Inside The Benefit ‘Gals Just Wanna Have Fun’ Make-Up Kit…

I’m no beauty blogger by any stretch of the imagination, but I treated myself to Benefit’s new ‘Gals Just Wanna Have Fun’ Makeup kit and thought some of you might like to see exactly what’s in it, so here goes..    First up: They’re Real! Mascara. Promises maximum volume, length and fit. I’ve never used this before and I’m in need of a new mascara.  Next, my all, my everything: Gimme Brow. Being one of those people who plucked my eyebrows to nothing back in the good ‘ole days, this brings brows to my baldy face. I adore this stuff. The only thing is I normally use Shade 1 and […]

The Coffee Machine…

I was never a big fan of coffee. Always a tea drinker.  Then I discovered Cappuccino. I LOVE Cappuccino.  I’ve been buying the boxes of sachets like Maxwell House and Nescafé and I drink about 2 a day.  I decided about a week ago that I should invest in a Coffee Machine.  My Husband was sceptical. I tend to go through phases of things (I really needed that Soda Stream at the time….and the Air Fryer…..) “Why don’t you just stick with the sachets you like?” He said.  I said “Because…. I NEED a proper machine. I can’t be ripping sachets into a cup my whole life. Plus they’re pretty.” […]

When You Realise You’re An Old Lady Now…

Yesterday we got a new washing machine after the 7 year old one was losing the will to wash properly anymore. The delivery truck pulled up at 9am and it was like Christmas morning. I was so excited.  I commented – many times – on the size of the drum and how great it was that it takes an 8kg load. I rubbed my hand gently across the top of it and marvelled at how pretty it was. I watched the first wash spin around in awe, full of anticipation. I couldn’t wait to see the results. When the wash finished I took out the clothes and smelled them. I […]

Easy Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe…
